Trusst’s Home Building Process

If you are thinking about having a new home built, then it pays to learn more about the builder’s process before you sign on so you can be fully aware of what to expect along the way. At Trusst Builder Group, our home building process is simple and straightforward. Here is our home building process broken down into seven key steps.

#1 – The Introduction

The home buyer meets with one of Trusst’s New Home Specialists. During the introductory meeting, the New Home Specialist provides the home buyer with information on the communities in which Trusst Builder Group builds. Information on our home sites, floor plans, exterior details, interior design features, special amenities, and financing options is also reviewed.

Based on the information received and reviewed, the home buyer will at the time of their choosing select a home site and floor plan and an Agreement of Sale will be created.

#2 – Home Site Closing

After the Agreement of Sale is received by Trusst Builder Group, the home buyer will meet with our Closing coordinator to go over the process of construction-to-permanent financing and the closing on their new home site.

#3 – Pre-Construction Meeting

Before construction begins, the home buyer will meet again with the New Home Specialist to review the home plan, the design features, and any personalized changes. The home buyer will also receive a personalized code for accessing Trusst’s Client Portal, in which they can view the progress of their build (including photos) on a weekly basis.

After the pre-construction meeting, the home buyer will have a meeting scheduled with Trusst Builder Group’s Design Center. This is when the home buyer will be able to personalize their home with color and style selections of flooring, cabinetry, counters and other design finishes.

#4 – The Construction

Most new home builds take between four and five months to complete. During this time, Trusst Builder Group remains in regular contact with the home buyer. During the construction, the New Home Specialist will upload photos and other details to the Client Portal so the buyer can review the progress on a week-to-week basis.

#5 – The Electrical Walk-Through

Once the home’s foundation is set and the framing and roofing are complete, the home buyer will meet with the New Home Specialist on-site so they can meet with the electrician for an electrical walk-through. During this meeting, the home buyer can relay any special needs to the electrician regarding placement of outlets, lights, ceiling fans, and more.

#6 – Home Inspections and Cleaning

In the last month of construction, Trusst’s team will go through the home and prepare it for delivery. A full inspection and cleaning will be performed for quality assurance purposes. After this process is complete, the New Home Specialist will schedule a home orientation meeting with the home buyer.

#7 – New Home Orientation

At the home orientation meeting, the New Home Specialist will introduce the home buyer to their new home. They will walk through the home and showcase any important details while answering any questions. The home builder’s warranty will also be reviewed in detail. Once orientation is complete, the home buyer will be granted the keys and take possession of their new home.
