Riverlights: life on the water

Riverlights stretches along about three miles of the Cape Fear River in south Wilmington. Roughly 1,400 acres, with more than 500 kept as green space, it's built around a 38-acre freshwater lake.

The Lake House has a saltwater pool and fitness center. A river dock is ready for crabbing, fishing and kayaking. Marina Village hosts open-air markets and concerts, and an activities director keeps the social calendar full.

It's a fit if you want water views, walking paths and a lively, connected neighborhood. Trusst currently offers homes like the Rocky Option II at 1331 Trisail Terrace.

Brunswick Forest: room to roam

Brunswick Forest covers about 4,500 acres along Town Creek in Leland, roughly 10 minutes from downtown Wilmington. It's the biggest of the three, and the amenity list shows it.

Residents get daily access to the Cape Fear National golf course, an 18,000-square-foot Fitness and Wellness Center with indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, and more than 100 miles of walking and biking trails. The Villages at Brunswick Forest, at the entrance, puts groceries, dining and medical offices close to home.

It's a fit if you want an active lifestyle with everything nearby. Tour the Trusst Candor model at 7326 Foxbriar Drive, open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm.

Timbers at Whiskey Branch: small and close to everything

Timbers at Whiskey Branch is a neighborhood of about 90 homes off South College Road in Wilmington. Being small means quieter streets and neighbors who know each other.

There's a community pool, sidewalks and maintained common areas. The real draw is location, with easy access to Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, downtown and the medical park. Homes are zoned for Pine Valley Elementary, Myrtle Grove Middle and Hoggard High.

It's a fit if you want a low-key neighborhood without a long drive to the beach. Trusst currently offers the Kindle plan at 2205 Condor Run.

So, which fits you?

  • Choose Riverlights if you picture evenings by the river and weekends at Marina Village.
  • Choose Brunswick Forest if you want golf, trails and a full fitness center a short drive from home.
  • Choose Timbers at Whiskey Branch if you want a small, quiet street and a quick trip to the beach.

Still deciding? That's normal. Seeing them in person is the best way to know. Reach out to the Trusst team to tour homes in all three, or stop by our Candor model at Brunswick Forest.
